Well, my mother's intuition was right and Baylor was really sick. We got to spend the night in the hospital. She had a viral infection and a UTI. Her temp topped out at 103.5 when we were checking into our room. They did get an IV in her but both of her veins collapsed when they were trying to draw blood for bloodwork. The cold caused her to have blisters in her mouth and throat and her head was so stopped up she couldn't breath so her oxygen level was 84% and she was starting to turn blue. So after 1 antiboitic shot, 1 breathing treatment, 2 rounds of antiboitics in her IV, an allergy/steroid shot, and 10 days more of antiboitics for home and Liadacane to numb her mouth and throat we are finally home and glad to be here.
This picture was taken right before we were going home, she looks pretty good here. A thousand times better than when we got there. I knew she was starting to feel a little better when a few giggles starting slipping out.

- Trust your gut
- Just because one doctor says nothing is wrong you can always get a second opinion.
- I can resist the urge to punch someone when they are hurting my child.
- I can hold my child down while resisting the urge to punch someone.
- I can tell someone to stop when they are hurting my child and they have to because of that "because I said so" clause.
- I forgot how tired you get when you sit up and hold a child all night in a hospital bed (haven't done that since the night Brier was born).
- Its pretty hard to entertain a 10 month old in a hospital room that just wants down to explore.
- I really like Dr. Deena as a new pedi here in town.
- I would do just about anything for it to have been me instead of her.

He's our all boy, Daddy loving, amazingly messy, John Deere adoring, people pleasing, ultra sensitive, chocolate craving, brown eyed, mercifully giving, bed hopping, dangerously destructive, absolutely precious first born.

She's our total diva, big hearted, completely dramatic, very talkative, nurturing, terribly sassy, independent, fashion forward, fruit craving, Mommy helping, sorta sneaky, beautifully stunning second born!

Poor thing is right! :(
I'm glad to hear that she's feeling better now but can relate to how hard it is to have something be wrong and to know it and multiple doctors tell you that your precious baby is fine. I can guess who your first doctor's opinion was and, if I'm correct in my guess, I had to get a second opinion too.
I'm glad sweet little Baylor is much better! He first Christmas is just around the corner. :)
Poor baby! Glad it was only one night and you are back home. Praying for a quick recovery. HUGS to Mom for having to learn those horrible lessons.
Glad that Baylor is getting better and that you guys got to come home. I know the feeling about staying in the room with a baby that wants to move around. A mother always knows when there is something wrong. We are around them more than the doctor.
Oh my gosh! The day I saw you at the doctors office, did that doc tell you nothing was wrong? Poor baby! and poor momma! Hope she is doing better!
good to hear that baylor is back at home now and everything is okay. I bet that was scary!
