It's the dead of Winter outside...

...but pink is in full bloom at our house.

Brier & Trista being silly

Feb. 1st is the day I'm gonna have this girl!

At the doctor on Thursday they set my date to January 29th at 2:30 for my c-section, I was very thrilled with this date because for some reason that was they date I had set in my head for the last month, but then later on in the day they called me and said they changed it to February 1st. I know, I know those couple of days will do her a lot of good. February just seems so far off even though it is the first day of February, I didn't ask my time so I'll have to update you on that later. I'm trying to take it one day at a time, if I think about how many weeks away that is I start to get a little emotional so please don't walk up to me and say only 4 more weeks to go that seems like 4 years to me and you don't want an emotional pregnant woman on your hand. I'm pretty sure Dusty would be more than happy to give me away at this point.

What Santa brought to our house

Mama & Daddyhoss gave Brier a new lawnmower, he loves it.

And Pops couldn't resist and bought him his first John Deere.

Once again we have been very spoiled. But I want to take a moment to say I do realize how blessed we are to have such wonderful families and also to be blessed with good health and happiness and have so much to be thankful for.

Still feel lousy...but I have hope now

So I had to go for a non-stress test today and I went and whined to my regular OB enough that he took me off my other antibotics and gave me a z-pack. I'm still not feeling any better yet but I'm hoping to be a different person by tomorrow morning. Please keep your fingers crossed.

I feel lousy...

OK, a week a go today Brier came down with a cold then 2 days later I got it and then the next day Dusty got it. My cold has now moved into my sinus which feel like they are on fire and my teeth feel like they are falling out. For anyone who has ever had this you know what you feel like, this wouldn't be any problem other than the fact that I'm pregnant and I'm currently on antibotics for something else(these antibotics won't work on sinus stuff though) so I can not mix my antibotics with any cough or cold medicine. I know! I had a meltdown when I found this out, I just couldn't quit crying about it. The cold was no big deal but this sinus thing is a different story. My only saving grace has been sniffing salt water, an old wives tales but it has helped. My poor parents though, Dusty has been working out of town so I've been staying with them, and truly last night I didn't think I was going to make it but my mom and dad took over and took care of me and Brier. Thanks mom & dad.

Brier is better he hasn't run a fever or anything and I think Dusty is better too, other than being stuck in a hotel room when you feel lousy. By the way I think I actually caught this cold during nursery duty at church and brought it home to Brier.

If anyone knows what else I could do to help out alittle I'm open to any suggestions.

2 a weeks

I had some minor complications with this pregnancy on Monday, I won't go into any specifics, but I did have to rush into see my doctor which everything checked out ok. With my past history my doctor decided to go ahead and do non-stress test on me twice a week just to check for contractions, so starting today I now get to go to the doctor twice a week, but it will all be worth it when she gets here.

This is for everyone who has wondered and have asked what exactly Dusty does. It is long hours and very dangerous at times, so please keep him in your prayers, as the 3 of us need him to be around for a very long time. He does enjoy it and takes a lot of pride in his truck.

It might be a little hard to tell, but whatever this thing is, is loaded on both of these trucks and they have to drive like a pack of mules, if turning one has to go faster and the other slower and so forth. I can't imagine doing that, I can't even drive my own car much less a truck, much less a truck turning it when someone is right next to me and trying to balance something like that on the back.

Blankets...

For some reason I have been panicking that I'm not going to have enough blankets for this child. I know it's pretty silly but my wonderful mom and sister-in-law, Shonnie, helped me make some heavy fleece blankets for her and I love them. See how they turned out.

Resting for a second

This is what kind of mood Brier was in, so that's why GranD was resting.

Honestly, Shonnie pretty much did all the work

I helped some, not much

And here they are, I love the turquoise and brown one

Doctor Update

Sorry, it has taken me awhile to update. I went to the doctor last Wednesday and got so see her on a sonogram, she is weighing in at 3lbs. I also had to do my diabetes test and get my negative RH shot. This is because I have A- blood and Dusty has O+ so mostly likely our kids will have positive which means my body will attack the baby if our blood mixes so just as a precaution I have to get these shots. Everything went fine at the doctor they didn't schedule a date for my c-section because they can't do it without my doctor there. Then on Thursday the doctor's office called and said my sugar levels were too high so I would have to go do a 3 hr diabetes test. Let me tell you it wasn't any fun, I had to sit there for 3 hrs and have my blood drawn 4 times, but the good news is that all came back normal.

I go back to the doctor on December 27th. Hopefully we will get a date for her arrival then.

Pictures

Here is some pictures from the last couple of weeks. Brier has become Dusty's little shadow, which is nice, its given momma a little break here and there. I think it is because Dusty is not as strict as I am but its probably because Brier loves him.

Thanksgiving night, it was Brier first time to wear this jacket, he looks so cute in it.

Another haircut

Back Pain, ha ha

I love my pregnancy ticker at the top of this page, it pretty much sums up how I feel right now. Incase it has changed this is what it said
"The doctor says good posture will help Mommy's back pain. She says that's a load of crap. Having a baby is the only cure!"

I was suppose to see my regular doctor tomorrow but they called and changed it to Wednesday and I'm not going to even get to see my doctor I'm going to be seeing the PA from my high risk doctor, which is OK, I like her. I was just all set to ask Dr. Killeen to schedule a date for my c-section 1. so I will just have a date and 2. really Dusty needs to get it on the calendar at his work so he can make sure and get a couple of days off when this little girl comes. I think I will ask anyway, one of my friend's due date is February 23rd and they scheduled her c-section for the 13th, so I know they are already scheduling for this time frame.

I will try and get some new pictures up soon.

Our Baby Girl

I went back to the high risk doctor today and everything looked great with our baby girl. She's right on schedule. She is weighing in at 2lbs 4ozs and all her measurements look good. She is breech at this point, she has her head up under my right ribs, but really all that means is a c-section which I will be having anyway. So no big deal other than she seems to be tap dancing on my bladder which explains why I seem to have to go to the bathroom with her a lot. We got to have a 4D sonogram, which was very cool. Sonograms have already come along ways since I had Brier. We still don't have a name but we are narrowing them down, but here is the fun stuff, pictures of her. She looks exactly like Brier did in his 3D sonograms, I think her nose might be a little different, but pretty much at this point they could be twins.

Brier also went to the doctor today for his 18mo checkup and he looks great too. He's still in the 75% on height and 25% on weight. He got a flu shot so he's been a little cranky but not bad.
