It is hard to find the right words when you need them. I've never been a writer. English was my worst subject in school. So yesterday standing at the florist with a pen and paper in my hand trying to find the right thing to write on a 1x2 inch paper that would sum up the feelings that me, Russ, cousins and our children had felt about Boo was hard to do. On one hand that piece of paper was too big to write a simple "We love you and will miss you" on the other hand it was so itty-bitty when you start thinking about the memories you could write about.
Boo was a true German, he could even talk German some. If you know anything about Germans they are fighters and Boo lived up to that to the very end. He fought that battle very hard and it was painful for us to see him suffer so much. We are at peace now knowing that his body can rest.
"We know that our body - the tent we live in here on earth - will be destroyed. But when that happens, God will have a house for us. It will not be a house made by human hands; instead, it will be a home in heaven that will last forever. " - Corinthians 5:1
Boo passed away on Sunday, Father's Day, which has to be extremely difficult for my mom but I cannot think of another gift that would ever be better than for him to meet his father in heaven on that day.
Speaking of fathers and of Father's Day I can't be more thankful more mine. He has been a wonderful dad all my life and is still living up to that for not only myself but for my husband and children. With Dusty being gone so much this year, Pops, has gotten the brunt of the help calls and they usually start with "Dad, will you...." and end with "give me a few minutes and I'll be right there." Thinking about it a little more now, I don't think the shirt I got him was enough so maybe this will be. Thanks Dad for everything you've done for me and I love you.
And to Dusty, thank you for all your hard work to support me and the kids. I know it is hard being away from them but I can not tell you the excitement that the kids sequel with when I tell them your home.
Thank you to everyone for your emails, texts, and prayers. They are appreciated. Maybe my next post will be on the lighter side.

EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it!
Well, if you haven't heard that I have a new nephew you must be living under a rock really busy. Kegan Truitt Stanley was born on June 9th at 7:58 am.
Whitney and I have been given the green light from Shonnie to post some pictures up on our blogs and I was thinking about all the 5,000 pictures we've taken of him and deciding which ones I would put up and then I decided that I would give that honor to Shonnie on her blog, she is the one that put up with the morning sickness and back pain for 9 months and I know there's no greater joy for a new parent than showing off your new baby. So if you just can't stand it any longer you can click on his name and it will take you to some fabulous pictures of baby KEGAN.
I couldn't be happier for Russ and Shonnie, the baby road hasn't always been an easy one for them and this is just such a joy for them to welcome a new baby into the world.
If you're only here to see pictures of my kids, I love you, here they are.
We went to play at the wonderful park across from the hospital in which I helped raise money to build it when I volunteered my time in AMBUCS when I worked in Lubbock. I love that park.

I can't believe it...
I posted some new pictures. Time has not been my friend lately.
Of course we busted out the pool to let the kiddos dive in, which Brier did. He loved it. Baylor hated it. She just doesn't like cold water even though we let it warm up all day. It was still to cold for her. The little diva.
It is true, can you believe, he does exist. If you don't know who this is. It is my husband and the kids father. He was home for a whopping 3 days and then gone again. He was gone the whole month of May and of right now a majority of June. As you can tell Baylor didn't lose her Daddy's Girl clingy-ness while he was gone.
I thought it would be a good idea for Baylor to start getting use to going to get a haircut. She slept through the whole thing and so did Brier. Do you know how hard it is to give a 1 & 3 year old haircuts while they're asleep.

He's our all boy, Daddy loving, amazingly messy, John Deere adoring, people pleasing, ultra sensitive, chocolate craving, brown eyed, mercifully giving, bed hopping, dangerously destructive, absolutely precious first born.

She's our total diva, big hearted, completely dramatic, very talkative, nurturing, terribly sassy, independent, fashion forward, fruit craving, Mommy helping, sorta sneaky, beautifully stunning second born!
