You would think that I'm a world traveler or something now after reading my last 2 blog post. It just so happened I got a mom weekend pass the weekend after going to the balloon festival. I do think I'm getting old because being gone 2 weekends in a row wore me out that is why it has taken me so long to get this blog up.
It was Mimi's 75th birthday and mom took her to Las Vegas for her very first time and a good time was had by all. I haven't laughed so hard in years.

Here are our pictures from Santa Fe and of Baylor at 8 months and a few of Brier. Baylor has found the sweet spot on her bows and hats to pop them off so it is a challenge to keep them on her now.

This was the Loretta church in downtown Santa Fe that houses the miracle staircase. It is fabulous if anyone ever gets the chance to go visit it. I highly recommend it.

We skipped town this weekend and went with my parents and Mimi to the Balloon Festival and you know what we had a good time. Here are the pictures from day 1 at the fest and hopefully I will get day 2 of downtown Santa Fe up tomorrow.
While we were in Santa Fe having a good time Dusty had gone to Colorado to see his grandfather who was in the hospital and not doing well. Today during lunch he got a call that his grandfather had passed away so if you could keep him and us in your prayer as we will be making a trip to Colorado this week for the funeral. I ask for prayers because we usually fly up there and fly back it just happens to be in a car. :)Us visiting his grandparents last October, a year ago yesterday. To lose both in a year is hard. He was almost 90 and drove himself down to see us back in the spring. He served in the Army and was a Master Sgt. and survived D-day. He was a wealth of history you don't come across much anymore.
By the way that is Dusty's uncle Bobber, do you see a resemblance. I guess I know what Dusty will look like in 25 years.

If I haven't told you before. I hate the fair. I'm not sure exactly why. I don't have a horrible childhood experience there. I just don't like it, but the good mother I am I want my kids to experience it. So we took Brier but left Baylor because it's just a nasty place for a little girl to be.

Baylor is into everything these days. I don't remember Brier being like this. He wanted to explore things but just to walk around with you. She is taking all of our DVDs out of their drawer here. No, she's not really pulling up on things yet she just put her hand up there and feels around until she can grab some and then pulls it out. She does that to Brier table too.
She loves getting under tables like Brier's train table. I think she was telling him "Dude, this is great. Mom will never find us here."

I've been lagging behind lately, so here are a lot of pictures from the last month or so.
Baylor at the lake on Labor Day. I can't remember exactly but I think she was saying, "Seriously mom do you know what the temperature is out here? Really, you do, then put the camera down and take me back inside where the nice cool AC is going." That might not be the exact wording she used.

So, I was getting ready for church and Baylor and Brier we're having their morning snack and I hear Baylor start crying a little and I hear Brier say "you need more, baby" she cries a little more and I hear him say "just a minute, baby" and then this happened. I have a feeling they will be best friends soon. And by the way, I was watching the whole thing they just didn't know it.

He's our all boy, Daddy loving, amazingly messy, John Deere adoring, people pleasing, ultra sensitive, chocolate craving, brown eyed, mercifully giving, bed hopping, dangerously destructive, absolutely precious first born.

She's our total diva, big hearted, completely dramatic, very talkative, nurturing, terribly sassy, independent, fashion forward, fruit craving, Mommy helping, sorta sneaky, beautifully stunning second born!
