Baylor Grace @ 4 months

Here is Baylor's 4 month photo shoot, she was her typical model diva self, threw out a little flair at first but was so over it by the end and I could not make her smile.

Brier trying to get in some of the action. He was trying to find where Baylor went.

On a sad note, to the right side of the page you will notice that I added two links to blogs that I pray for sometime last week, I have kept up with these blogs for a while . Both of those blogs have lost a child in the last few months. Surviving Life's Curveball of SIDs and Bring the Rain blog found out their daughter had a terminal birth defect while she was pregnant with her and they knew she would survive when she gave birth to her and she didn't. That was just 7 weeks ago that she passed away but on Wednesday their newfew died of SIDs also, so please keep these families in your prayer, I can't imagine what that family is going through the death of 2 babies in just 7 weeks.

This is the 5th baby I have heard about dying in the last 2 months, 4 of them of SIDs, I'm not sure if God is testing my trust in him or what because this puts a lot of fear in my mind. If you have a minute click on the links on the right side to read their stories and say some prayers for them.

I've Been Tagged...

Here goes nothing...

*Maybe I should...let go more and trust that God will carry me through any situation...He always has.

*I love the smell of...little babies after a bath, the rain, fresh flowers, and the beach.

*People would say that I...I'm not really sure, it's usually behind my back.

*I don't understand why...bad things happen to good people

*When I wake up in the morning...I pray that I can have 30 minutes of peace to get ready before one (or both) of my kids get up.

*I lost my will power to...do some type of "formal" exercising every now and then. (I get enough exercise chasing kids, right.)

*Life is wonderful with...Dusty and the kids.

*My past made me...realize that I have no control over certain things in life, which is hard, but has made me sympathetic to what others may be going through.

*I get annoyed when...someone has to buy something just to out do someone else. I guess that's called keeping up with the Jones'

*Parties are not...as much fun with grown-ups as they are with kids.

*Dogs are...more work than they are good at this stage in my life.

*Cats are...only good for keeping mice out of your house.

*Tomorrow I am going to...be tired.

*I have a low tolerance for...people that live on welfare just because they don't want to work. I don't want to work either people.

*I'm totally terrified of...something suddenly happening to someone I love and suffocating to death.

*I wonder why I thought my life would be...easy (yes, I realize that some people look at me and say she has it all and I do)

*Never in my life...would I think that I would care less about my career than my kids.

*High school was something that...I'm glad its over

*When I'm nervous...I talk really fast and can't seem to catch my breath.

*Take my advice...enjoy each day and focus on what's important in life because it goes by too fast. (I'm definitely talking to myself here, too.)

*Making my bed is...something never happens at my house.

*I'm almost always...busy with my kids.

*I'm addicted to...Dr. Pepper and spending alone time with my husband since that time is few and far between these days.

*I want someone...to know that I am doing my very best to be a good Christian, wife, mommy, and employee and I pray that I am doing a good job, so cut me a little slack.

I'm tagging Shonnie, Whitney, and Amanda. (Sorry girls I don't have many blog buddies, hint hint to everyone else to start a blog)

Fluffy

For all those out there that when you see Baylor you say "ahhh, she's sooo big". Baylor asked me to tell you this, "I know I"m fluffy and I don't care" and I(her mother) admire her for that.

Photos

Been doin' me some more of that foto editin' stuff, since that is what my degree is in and all. Momma is real proud of me for puttin' my schoolin' to good use.

These are of some kids out here at the college that we took. I'm really having fun figuring out this editing stuff. So you're thinking why don't all my pictures look like this, because it is TIME CONSUMING but fun. This guy in this picture could be a model, no joke, he was so much fun to work with and we got some amazing shots.

A Week in Review, OK a Few Weeks

I know its been awhile since I had pictures up so here ya go. Is anyone else having as much trouble as me uploading pictures?

This is Dusty's grandfather's tractor, Muscles, I think its a '48 or '49 model anyway Dusty took it and had it worked on so him and Brier can keep our house looking nice and pretty.

Horse rides for everyone, this was a mistake now Brier wants the "the baby" to ride everytime he does.

Baylor in her new hat. Have I mentioned I have an obsession of putting things on her head.

We had a nest of baby rabbits in our front yard. Dusty got one so Brier could see it. When he first saw it he said, "ahhhhh"

OK, let me explain this picture. So my New Years resolution was to save more money and not buy unnecessary things (don't look at the above picture of Baylor's new hat). So in my quest of searching the internet for ways to cut cost I came across a site about how you are suppose to use that CVS card they force upon you at CVS, so I read up on it and it is actually a really good thing. I got all of the above groceries/household goods for $14, yeap they would have originally cost me $74. You have to start out with a little of your own money to get started so I thought I would buy the 2 Tums packs for $10 and then I made a couple of mistakes and had to spend $4 of my own money but still the 5 packs of cokes alone would have been $19.80.
Want to CVS like me, click here.

Oh and I put up a picture of this on my blog because well I guess that's what you're suppose to do because everyone else's blog that I look at to get money saving tips does it.

Oh again, please don't call me a cheapskate because I do this, I drive a nice car, live in a nice house and my kids wear nice clothes. So I would prefer you call me frugal. Maybe by doing this I can buy Baylor more hats.

Big Girl Panties

So usually I'm a pretty big girl about the whole staying home by myself when Dusty is out of town, but see we have this defective damper thingy in our fireplace that when the wind blows really hard it blows it open which sounds like someone is kicking in your front door or that is what I thought at midnight on Saturday night when the wind was going crazy. I laid there as still as I could thinking we have insurance so they can have whatever they want as long as they don't come near my room which is where B&B were. If that happened all bets were off. I'm not sure what I would have done, I guess charged loudly at them flailing my arms since that's the only defense mechanism I know how to use. (Yes, we have an enormous LOCKED safe full of guns in our living room) but I don't have a clue how to use one of them. Anyway after several minutes I got the nerve to sneak into the kitchen and turn on the light and figured out we were home alone but needless to say I didn't go back to sleep for awhile and then Baylor got up at 4 which is very unusual for her, I guess she just couldn't wait to tell me Happy Mother's Day.

Mother's Day

I've been called lots of names in my lifetime but the best thing I've ever been called is momma. I truly enjoy being a mom, the best job I've ever had. Although its really not a job, its a journey to being a better person.

“When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.” -Sophia Loren

Mom, thank you for everything you've done for me and my family not just lately but since day one. Being a mom now I know just how hard it is and I'm truly thankful to you. I couldn't ask for a better mother and I strive everyday to become more selfless and caring like you.

Dixie, thanks for being a great mother-in-law to me and a wonderful Dix to Brier and Baylor. We're so thankful for all you do for us. Thanks for my mom's day bracelet, I love it.
