Progression of the Easter picture

Guess, I'll take it.

P.S. I'm trying out a new photo editing software, that's why the pictures look bad but I didn't want to re-download them and edit them right now.

Happy 3rd Birthday Brier

I can't believe Brier turns 3 today. Just seems like yesterday that I was cuddling him in the chair and he was only a couple days old but anyway you all know the feeling. We will be enjoying a fun ride with Thomas the Train this afternoon for his birthday so check back soon for birthday pictures.

Higgins

Yes, I'm seven kinds of crazy and went off the deep end this weekend and got a new puppy. Why oh why do I do this to myself.

Him and Brier are already pretty good buds.

More Spring Break

Which one do think it is gonna be???

It was Kade, poor guy he had a rough trip.

See we can have fun

We got to enjoy a week at the lake over Spring Break and it was wonderful to get away for a little bit and even Dusty was able to join us for a couple of days in between trips to Pennsylvania. I can't believe that it was warm enough that we were in shorts and could have swam if the water would have been warmer and today the wind chill is 6 degrees. Geez.

Feeding the ginormous catfish at the marina.

Of course, Baylor decided she wanted to learn to run on the splinter infested deck that only several feet away there's a 90 foot cliff drop off. It was exhausting.

Baylor posing for her 1st fish story.

Baylor thinking "I could show you all how to fish, if I could figure out how to get out of this stroller."

Brier's first fish.

Don't you just love Russ' pink fishing pool.

Me thinking "YUCK" but trying to act excited for Brier.

I promise my next post will be fun

Just wanted to give everyone an update. We celebrated our freedom from the hospital with getting a nasty cold and earache by both kids/ or the flu the doctor didn't test for the flu but said it could be since Brier was running 103 temp. I won't go into a lot of detail but I hope we are getting better and I can't be happier that next week is Spring Break and maybe I can catch up on some sleep. Looking in the mirror this morning I thought "geez, I look BAD."

My next post will be about something fun we did.

No Sugar Added

It has been awhile since I've posted anything and I wish I had all these wonderful pictures of great and fun things we've been doing but I don't. I'm not going to sugar coat this post so if you don't want to read about me being Debbie Downer then you can stop reading now. Last week was a tough one for us. It started on Monday of Dusty finding out he would be laid off in 2-4 weeks. Then it turned into the end of the week but they asked him to work Tuesday in Snyder which was God putting him in the right place at the right time. Tuesday while he was in Snyder he found out that everyone he works with was called into work and told to clean out they're trucks and go file unemployment. While this was happening Dusty was offered to transfer to Snyder, which he gladly accepted. No, we are not moving to Snyder (even though that's what the company wants), right now he is driving back and forth or renting a hotel room some nights. He is looking for a small camper to borrow or rent from someone who is not using it to leave there to use on the nights he has to stay if anyone knows of one.
On Tuesday Brier started throwing up, I took him to the doctor on Wednesday and of course nothing was wrong with him. He continued to throw up all week and I took him back on Friday. They thought he needed an IV so we headed to the hospital. After trying 3 times and blowing the vein they decided to send him home and we would try to get him to drink and eat. Didn't work. So we took him to the doctor Saturday morning. She sent him home with Fenitgren (?).
Didn't work. Saturday at about 11 we decide to take him to the ER and they were finally able to get an IV in his foot. We spent the next 3 days in the hospital trying to get him to eat. We got out late last night. Hopefully we are on the road to recovery. They are afraid Brier has something in his throat like a blockage and that combined with a stomach bug really took him down. Please pray that Brier doesn't have anything in his throat and he will recover quickly.
Also, our dryer quit in the midst of this. At least I can wash all the throw up covered stuff I just can't dry it.
