It has been awhile since I've posted anything and I wish I had all these wonderful pictures of great and fun things we've been doing but I don't. I'm not going to sugar coat this post so if you don't want to read about me being Debbie Downer then you can stop reading now. Last week was a tough one for us. It started on Monday of Dusty finding out he would be laid off in 2-4 weeks. Then it turned into the end of the week but they asked him to work Tuesday in Snyder which was God putting him in the right place at the right time. Tuesday while he was in Snyder he found out that everyone he works with was called into work and told to clean out they're trucks and go file unemployment. While this was happening Dusty was offered to transfer to Snyder, which he gladly accepted. No, we are not moving to Snyder (even though that's what the company wants), right now he is driving back and forth or renting a hotel room some nights. He is looking for a small camper to borrow or rent from someone who is not using it to leave there to use on the nights he has to stay if anyone knows of one.
On Tuesday Brier started throwing up, I took him to the doctor on Wednesday and of course nothing was wrong with him. He continued to throw up all week and I took him back on Friday. They thought he needed an IV so we headed to the hospital. After trying 3 times and blowing the vein they decided to send him home and we would try to get him to drink and eat. Didn't work. So we took him to the doctor Saturday morning. She sent him home with Fenitgren (?).
Didn't work. Saturday at about 11 we decide to take him to the ER and they were finally able to get an IV in his foot. We spent the next 3 days in the hospital trying to get him to eat. We got out late last night. Hopefully we are on the road to recovery. They are afraid Brier has something in his throat like a blockage and that combined with a stomach bug really took him down. Please pray that Brier doesn't have anything in his throat and he will recover quickly.
Also, our dryer quit in the midst of this. At least I can wash all the throw up covered stuff I just can't dry it.

He's our all boy, Daddy loving, amazingly messy, John Deere adoring, people pleasing, ultra sensitive, chocolate craving, brown eyed, mercifully giving, bed hopping, dangerously destructive, absolutely precious first born.

She's our total diva, big hearted, completely dramatic, very talkative, nurturing, terribly sassy, independent, fashion forward, fruit craving, Mommy helping, sorta sneaky, beautifully stunning second born!

Oh my! You have every reason to be Debbie Downer. :(
I will keep Brier and the rest of the family in my prayers and I'm thankful for y'all that Dusty was able to accept a transfer. Take care of yourself and the little ones. :)
Oh sweetie, what a lot to cope with. Been praying for Brier. Hope he is on the mend soon. Glad Dusty was offered a transfer, hope it is not too much a strain of travel at this point. ((hugs)) from all of us. Just booked our trip in, so we are definitely there in time for the birthday!
Hang in there!!! Chance had talked to Dusty the other night after they were told the yard here was closing. It is hard times now, but it is going to pick up again....it always does!!! Sick kids are the pits, so we will keep you in our prayers!
oh. my. gosh! What a trying time right now my dear!!! What a sweet blessing that Dusty got a job in the midst of the craziness! Poor Brier... I'm so sorry!!!
What a week...I am so sorry and know that I am lifting you up in prayer right now. The thief comes in to kill, steal, and destroy but God came to give life abundantly and know through His grace He will make a path for your family. I am praying the blood of Jesus over Brier from the top of his head to the soles of his feet.
Wow...I hope Brier feels better & things start going smoother for you guys.
Hey there, just wondering if we might be able to help you out a little and bring you supper or something one night????
Keeping you in our prayers. Man, when it rains it poors doesnt it?! Hang in there!
I've taken Fenergin before too, that crap doesn't work. Poor babies...it'll get better and you'll all be stronger for it. I can say that because I just came out of a rough one myself! Remember that HE is always in control.
