I must confess that we are pretty lucky neither Dusty or I get sick very much. We must have strong immune systems and I think Brier has inherited that from us. thankfully. But, sometimes ya just get sick and that was the case for us this weekend of course during our only and first family vacation. We headed up to Colorado to see Dusty's grandmother since she is in a nursing home and has never seen Brier. I truly had great ambitions for this trip and was looking very forward to it. Little did I know what was ahead of us. We left Thursday morning bright and early, 4 am to be exact made it up there great, and Brier did so good the car ride up. Friday went smooth it was Dusty's birthday so we drove over to Cripple Creek and he gambled a little while I pushed Brier around in the stroller window shopping and Brier enjoyed that. But then came Saturday, Brier was a little cranky all day and then we went to eat with Dusty's grandfather around 3 our time and Brier got sick while eating so I went and sat in the pickup with him and he just couldn't quit throwing up. So we stopped at Walgreen's and got pedi-lite and anti-nausea medicine and headed to the hotel. Needless to say after a couple of hours of Brier throwing up every few minutes we went to the ER sat in the waiting room with the sickest baby until an hour or so Dusty went and politely but strongly asked the nurses to do something, anyway the doctors and nurses were all very nice to us and went ahead gave me a prescription also in case I got it. We finally left the ER around midnight our time and Brier was much better. He was at least keeping the pedi-lite down and we were diagnosed with the stomach flu, yuck. And of course then I get it but I'm so thankful that we made it home before I got it Sunday night. And thanks mom for taking care of us babies, me and Brier. Oh, Brier was wonderful on the trip ride home also, he didn't get mad not once about me making him ride 9 hrs in a car seat and especially for a bad as he felt. Poor baby, I really fell guilty for dragging him up there, if I could have only seen into the future.
I'm going to try to post a few pictures we took while up there.

He's our all boy, Daddy loving, amazingly messy, John Deere adoring, people pleasing, ultra sensitive, chocolate craving, brown eyed, mercifully giving, bed hopping, dangerously destructive, absolutely precious first born.

She's our total diva, big hearted, completely dramatic, very talkative, nurturing, terribly sassy, independent, fashion forward, fruit craving, Mommy helping, sorta sneaky, beautifully stunning second born!
